bankaccount.hk — Hong Kong bank accounts and the HK × SG comparison
bankaccount.hk is the bank-account site within the Hong Kong × Singapore cluster of the Xiaopoxian knowledge network. It explains what Hong Kong personal and corporate account opening requires, how the main banks tier accounts and fees, the routes available to Mainland residents, the investment-account measures for Chinese Mainland investors from May 2026, how source of funds and source of wealth are explained, and how CRS self-certification works, comparing each point with Singapore. Hong Kong content follows the HKMA, SFC, IRD, Companies Registry and Deposit Protection Board; Singapore content follows MAS, IRAS, ACRA and SDIC.
The site is not a bank, does not submit applications on anyone's behalf, does not promise approval, timing or limits, does not rank banks and does not discuss moving or converting money across borders. For Singapore personal accounts see bankaccount.sg; for Singapore corporate and VCC accounts see bankaccount.com.sg; for private banking see privatebank.hk; for accounts that serve an insurance policy see vul.hk; for relocation and tax residence see hnwi.sg and hnw.sg.
